What will the weather be like?

Answer

In the middle of August, Washington state can tend to be fairly hot. Definitely come prepared for lots of sunshine.

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Not to worry! We value having AC especially in the summer months so the ceremony and reception to follow are all indoors.

Are children welcome?

Answer

This is a child-friendly wedding. That being said, we will be sure to address invites with your children included in the invitation. If your children are not on the invitation, we hope you understand that the venue does have restricted space. We love all your children dearly!

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

We will be sure to address all invites accordingly. If you see "and guest" written on your wedding invitation, you can invite someone with you.

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

Answer

We invite you to RSVP online here on our website or by mailing in the RSVP card sent with the invitation. The choice is yours!

What options are there for any dietary restrictions?

Answer

We kept in mind that some of our guests have restrictions to their diets. We will be serving a buffet-style dinner with plenty of options for all restrictions. If you have any specific requests that you would like to share, please feel free to reach out to us via email at thecarterwedding2025@gmail.com. We will do whatever we can to accommodate our friends and family.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be a period of a few hours where all guests will be welcome at a mostly open bar. By mostly, we mean strictly wine and beer. No spirits will be served for the evening.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

For the most part, absolutely yes! We are having an unplugged ceremony. This means that we kindly request that there be no pictures and phone usage during the ceremony. There will be an appropriate time for you to use your phones which will be communicated by our officiant. However, after the ceremony, please take as many photos and videos as you please! We will have a QR code out for all attendees to share any photos or videos of the evening to a shared album.

Can I post any photos or any video of you on social media?

Answer

We kindly request that after the night of events, please give the couple 2 days to make their own post with pictures before posting your own. Please feel free to share and post any of your own personal photos of you and other attendees!

May I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence with us on our happy day is present enough. However, should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table and a card box for your convenience.

Will there be an after party?

Answer

Because we are local to the area, the bride and groom will be heading to Dicks (a local cheeseburger joint) after the nuptials to enjoy a tasty bite and perhaps a chocolate shake. Feel free to join us after the ceremony near our home in Edmonds!

Where will any updates about the nupitals be posted?

Answer

Any and all updates that include any transportation, hotel services, and activities during the wedding week and after will all be posted here on this website.
