Our Friday August 28, 2020 wedding is still a GO! After a meeting with our venue, we were reassured that they will do anything to make this wedding happen on our new date. As of now, we should be in Phase 3 re-opening which would accommodate all guests. If we happen to be placed back into Phase 2, the venue has assured us that they will still be accommodating all guests between their different on-site reception locations. Face coverings will not be required by the venue but please feel free to still wear one if that makes you more comfortable. All other accommodations and times of events are the same as on the original invitation. We look forward to celebrating with you all in a few short months! Love, Cole & Sarah
Cole and Sarah met through one of Sarah's best friends and bridesmaids, and one of Cole's long-term friends since Kindergarten. Thanks, Kayla :) They first met after the summer of their Freshman year in college but didn't see too much of each other until after Sarah moved back home from Roanoke after graduation. Cole and Sarah reconnected over their favorite dinner, Mexican and margaritas, and the rest is history!
Sarah and Cole, along with family and friends, headed down to celebrate Sarah's birthday at Lake Gaston (which is also where they first met). Saturday at sunset, Cole led Sarah to the top dock of the boathouse and they were reminiscing about the great weekend and how beautiful the view was. Sarah noticed that Cole was acting a little funny and before she knew it, Cole was down on one knee and had popped the question! All of the family and friends that came to help celebrate Sarah's birthday were watching from the house - they had no idea that was about to happen either. Cole added one more surprise and had Sarah's family come down to celebrate with everyone. It was the best day ever!
