TRAVEL BREAKDOWN

There are many ways to travel to Friday Harbor. So, we've listed a few ideal travel itineraries that will help you plan your visit! (in order of fastest to slowest) Route A: (Fastest ground route) -Flight to Sea-Tac International Airport (SEA) -Private shuttle by Island Airporter to Anacortes Ferry Terminal (~2 hr drive) -1hr Ferry ride through the San Juan Islands to Friday Harbor. NOTE: Island Airporter shuttle drives you onto ferry, and books reservation for ferry boarding. You don't have to do anything :) Route B: (Cheapest ground route) -Flight to Sea-Tac International Airport (SEA) -Bellair Airporter Shuttle to Anacortes Ferry Terminal. NOTE: This shuttle ride has 2 legs. Make sure to book both. -Walk onto ferry to Friday Harbor (~$20 walk-on ferry ticket purchase) -Walk off Ferry car deck to Friday Harbor terminal. Route C: (Fastest) -Flight to Sea-Tac International Airport (SEA) -20 minute private Kenmore Air shuttle service to Kenmore Air at Boing field. -Kenmore Air flight to Friday Harbor Airport, or Friday Harbor Marina. (make sure to select shuttle service when booking flight) Route D: -Flight to Sea-Tac International Airport (SEA) -Rent a car at Sea-Tac terminal. -Drive to Anacortes Ferry Terminal for Friday Harbor. NOTE: Taking a vehicle onto the ferry requires booking a reservation ahead of time. We highly recommend booking the reservation months ahead. NOTE: Vehicle reservations are released in stages - 2 months ahead, 2 weeks ahead and 2 days before sailing. They release the next tier promptly at 7am and re commend you are in the queue at that time to ensure your spot. Route E: (Fastest Air Route) -Flight from Burbank to Bellingham International Airport (BLI) -Flight from BLI to Friday Harbor via San Juan Airlines

Bellingham Int'l Airport

Many people prefer flying into Bellingham (BLI) because it's the most direct route to the San Juans from California. From Bellingham you can connect with San Juan Airlines for a short flight directly into Friday Harbor Airport (FHR).

Offers scheduled flights and charters from Bellingham, Anacortes, and Seattle/Boeing field into Friday Harbor Airport.

This is the most common airport with direct flights from California. From here you have a few options: - Kenmore Air (seaplanes & airplanes) - San Juan Airlines - Island Airporter - Airporter Shuttle Please keep scrolling for detailed options below

Seaplanes (Kenmore Air or Friday Harbor Seaplanes)

Located on Lake Union, Downtown Seattle, You can fly scenic floatplanes direct to Friday Harbor Marina, or Friday Harbor Airport - it's about a 40-50 minute flight from Lake Union. A 20 minute private shuttle is provided by Kenmore from Sea-Tac International Airport, which makes this one of the fastest ways to reach the island.

Ferry From the Mainland

Drive or shuttle to Anacortes, WA From Sea-Tac you can rent a car or take a shuttle. The shuttle services are the Island Airporter or Bellair Airporter Shuttle to the Anacortes ferry terminal for the San Juans. From Anacortes, the Washington State Ferry will take you to Friday Harbor with frequent sailings in summer. Foot passengers and vehicles are welcome. A Friday Harbor classic! Cole and I have had many a trip with Tami and Ray from Sea-Tac to Anacortes. If you do end up taking the longer route, I can't recommend them enough, you'll feel like an islander by the end of your trip to the ferry!

Bellair Airporter Shuttle

Ah yes, the Bellair Charters & Airporter! Again, a road well traveled by yours truly. While it lacks the family-feel of the island airporter, it makes up for it in ample space to get cozy for your journey from Sea-Tac to Anacortes ferry. This is the longest (cheapest) option for my truly dedicated travelers. Please note: The Bellair website will require you book (2) trips. Reason being you transfer to a second shuttle In Mount Vernon
