We grew up just down the street from each other, going to the same schools since elementary and attending the same church. Even though we didn’t run in the same social circles, we shared mutual friends and knew each other’s families well—our younger sisters are even best friends and ended up being college roommates! After high school, we each went our separate ways. Rebecca moved across the country to attend Boise State University and spent five years living in Idaho. Cole explored a few college paths before dedicating several years to a Catholic missionary program that took him across the U.S. and even overseas to Scotland. In 2021, Rebecca moved back to Texas and immediately reconnected with one of her oldest friends, Alex Vieth, for drinks and a catch-up. As it turned out, she and Cole had been friends for years, playing tennis together in high school and staying in touch ever since. That night, Cole was there along with a few other familiar faces from high school, and from that point on, we formed a tight-knit friend group that started hanging out most weekends. A couple of months later, a small group of us went to a Josh Turner concert at Billy Bob’s. Cole and Rebecca ended up spending most of the night together, just the two of us. A few more nights of dancing and spending time with each other turned into something more, and we’ve been together ever since March 2022. We got engaged in March and then welcomed our beautiful son, Eli, in July of 2024. It’s been such a blessing to have our families not only know each other but truly enjoy spending time together—so much so that we often combine holidays and family gatherings with ease. We’re so excited to celebrate our love, our family, and our commitment to a lifetime together this October 2025. We can’t wait to share this special moment with all of you!
