The Bride: We had a few mutual friends, but never actually met in person (Cole has a different story) One night we all went out for pizza and I noticed how handsome he was, so I texted one of the girls at the table asking who he was. Over the next month we "coincidentally" managed to always end up at the same social functions (I made sure I was at every party Cole would be attending) until FINALLY Cole asked me on a date. After that night I’m pretty sure we went months without spending a day apart. I was and still am so impressed by his selflessness and hardworking personality. My family loves him like he’s always been OURS. I knew I would marry him from the very beginning. The Groom: I first had the chance to lay my eyes on and meet Rachel in 2014 at Country Jam at Legend Valley. We both were there with our groups of friends but had mutual ones there as well. I first saw her in a distance looking like a model. I even remember what she was wearing. She happened to be with a couple people i knew so I immediately capitalized on the opportunity to figure out who she was. I approached her and introduced myself and where i went to high school. I was so blown away by how beautiful she was with her long blonde hair and amazing blue eyes that half hour later I ran into her again and re-introduced myself. She clearly took not only my breath away but my memory too...She of course barely remembers this entire interaction lol. I didn’t see her for six months then finally our mutual friends all went out to eat at Yellow Brick Pizza in Columbus one evening. It was like falling in love all over again. This time around she actually noticed me like I did her the first time. She was texting our friend at the table saying “who is the guy you’re sitting next too?” Little did she know she met this “hot” guy six months prior at a concert. From that point on we were inseparable and still are. A love and bond was built between us that will never be broken and I’m truly blessed for that!
On our anniversary we had plans to go out to dinner down town at Milestone 229. We arrived at the restaurant and Cole decided we should open our gifts outside on a bench. He opened his gift from me first (I got him a nice watch thank God lol). Inside of my gift bag from him was a little blue box... Girls you know what this ALWAYS means! Tiffany's! It was a necklace with a cursive, lowercase "B" on it...? I looked up and he was on one knee, asking me if I would take his last name! Hence the B necklace :) Little did I know, he hired a photographer to hide and take pictures the whole time. They even met up earlier that day while I was at work and scoped out the area and planned every move. After we took some pictures with the tree Cole drew our initials into that morning at our engagement spot we went inside to get some drinks and he informed me we wouldn't be eating there. We finally headed to our secret dinner destination Buca di Beppo where 25 of our closest friends and family were waiting! A total surprise! It was such a fun night I wish I could relive it again. I will always be grateful to him for this perfect proposal and memory.
