Our story started in the most unexpected way — at physical therapy after both tearing our ACLs. What began as seeing each other during recovery eventually turned into a DM on Instagram that changed everything. Not long after, we started dating while balancing long distance through college. Cole was playing football at Western Colorado University while Paola was playing soccer at Colorado School of Mines. Between road trips, late-night phone calls, busy seasons, and celebrating each other from afar, we built a relationship grounded in faith, support, and love. After almost four years together, Cole proposed in Chicago — one of our favorite memories and the easiest "yes" ever. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of the people we love most. Thank you for being part of our story and for celebrating with us.

Nuestra historia comenzó de la manera más inesperada — en terapia física después de que los dos nos rompimos el ACL. Lo que empezó viéndonos durante la recuperación terminó en un mensaje por Instagram que cambió todo. Poco después comenzamos nuestra relación a larga distancia durante la universidad. Cole jugaba fútbol americano en Western Colorado University mientras que Paola jugaba fútbol en Colorado School of Mines. Entre viajes, llamadas de madrugada, temporadas ocupadas y apoyarnos mutuamente desde lejos, construimos una relación llena de amistad, apoyo y amor. Después de casi cuatro años juntos, Cole le propuso matrimonio a Paola en Chicago — uno de nuestros recuerdos favoritos y el “sí” más fácil de todos. Cole was born in Illinois, to his parents Mark and Tanya. He is the middle of three brothers, who spent the majority of their childhood in Longmont, Colorado. Cole graduated high school in 2020, and began studying energy management and playing football at Western Colorado University. He played four amazing seasons at Western, and graduated in December of 2024. He now works as an associate landman at Antero Resources in Denver. Paola was born in Colorado, to her parents Hector and Melisa and older brother Hector. Paola graduated high school in 2021 in Longmont. She began studying mechanical engineering and playing soccer at Colorado School of Mines, where she played four seasons and finished her undergraduate degree in May of 2026. She continued her education and pursued a masters in Engineering and Technology Management from the School of Mines, and currently works as a gas engineer at Xcel Energy.
