Nicole and Cole met at work in 2019. In that year they were only work friends and didn't think anything of it. Then one day at the beginning of 2020 Cole suggested grabbing drinks after work. He wanted to kill time before he had to pick his brother up from the airport. Little did Nicole know that this was a lie to just get her out on a date. After that date the rest was history.

It was a beautiful fall day out on Oct 9th. A few times a week Nicole and Cole go on a routine walk with their dog Noodle. The walk is along the north branch of the Chicago river. They were coming back into the neighborhood about to head into their building when Cole got down on one knee. It was a perfect proposal for them as they were the only ones around and of course their dog Noodle was there to witness this perfect moment!
