Flight
Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) is the best airport to fly into. Phoenix Mesa Gateway airport is a small airport on the far southeast side of the valley and is more than an hour from where we recommend people stay. For friends/family in the Charleston area: Unfortunately, Breeze Airways has discontinued their direct flight from Phoenix to Charleston (as of 8/30/2024). The Charlotte and Atlanta airports have direct flights to Phoenix.
Rental Car
Phoenix is the largest metro area in the country and unfortunately doesn’t have a very effective public transport system in the Northern sections of the city (where our venue is). Ride sharing apps also often don’t cover that far North so we HIGHLY recommend getting a rental car. We understand that this can be very expensive and we have friends/family in the Phoenix area who have offered to loan their cars for the weekend if needed. Hotel
Our wedding venue and Cole’s home town of Anthem is on the very North side of the Phoenix valley. Where we recommend you stay depends on the type of trip you are interested in having. If you are just coming out for the wedding and are not planning on doing any sight seeing around Phoenix, we recommend staying in Anthem. The Hampton Inn in Anthem, the only hotel, is about a 5 minute drive from our venue. But Anthem is also a 30+ minute drive from many of the popular visitor destinations in Phoenix, so this may not be ideal for folks looking to visit longer and do any sight seeing.
Hotel
Cave Creek/Carefree/North Scottsdale are about 20-30 minutes from Anthem and about 30 minutes from most of the popular visitor destinations of Downtown Phoenix and Old Town Scottsdale. This area has lots of beautiful desert scenery and activities. There are also a number of hotels in those areas that vary in price and amenities. The Hampton Inn is just one of several hotels with high ratings in this area. Feel free to explore AirBnB and other hotel options as well!

We wanted to include this hotel because it is in our neighborhood and is only about 30 minutes from Anthem. If you are looking to stay in a more urban area and get a sense of Phoenix as a city, this is where we would recommend!
