Dress code is semi-formal; our favorite color is blue and it would be cute if you want to match but this is certainly not required! The entire event is outdoors; we recommend flat-soled shoes or wedges to avoid sinking into the grass. We are planning adequate cover for shade and in case of rain. The temperature in June can fluctuate quite a bit in the mountains, so consider bringing an extra layer as the evening turns cold.
Yes; this is a massive property that used to be a functioning grist mill. The patios and backyard, complete with a creek and pond, are large enough to hold the ceremony, cocktail gathering, and dinner all in different areas.
We've verified that the Google/Apple Maps navigation for this address is accurate; if you are navigating the old-fashioned way, your goal is to get to PA-443 E (via 309 or 895), pass the West Penn Diner, and turn at this intersection (photo here). Then, you will see the sign for "Wash Creek Mill" and turn right into the long driveway. Signs and staff should be there to guide you to the parking, above and left of the main entrance.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30. We are planning to take photos before the party begins so that we can participate fully in the reception; unless you have been contacted about an early portrait time, kindly arrive at the scheduled time, as early arrivals may interrupt preparations.
After the ceremony there will be a cocktail reception with small passed bites and charcuterie. We are very excited to be renting a minigolf course and other lawn games to play; there will also be plenty of cozy seating set up on the lawn and patio for those who prefer to kick back. Dinner will be served buffet-style around 5:30, and there will also be a dessert bar separate from the cake-cutting.
We believe all significant others were accounted for in the invitations; if you do not have a guest option on your RSVP and believe this is an error, please contact us ASAP at colemandywedding@gmail.com
