Cole and I met in 2018, when we were both working at Best Buy. We had worked together prior to that, but we never worked directly one on one until 2018. We started becoming chatty and complaining about dating in your 30’s, and that it is something we were both done with. After work one night, we went to a work gathering together. We enjoyed each other’s company and began texting and becoming friends. About a week later, Cole had asked me to go to Shores Inn (local bar) after our shift and get drinks and something to eat. I’m not sure what happened after the next few days, but that swearing off the dating in your 30’s that we agreed on was about to smack us in the face. Cole took me on our first date on March 14, 2018 to a beautiful restaurant with a really cool red booth, called Wright & Company. Those who know me well know I’m not the type to get bashful, but wow was I nervous, and I could tell he felt the same way. Honestly, It had been one of the best nights of my life. We fell hard for each other. We didn’t even need to say it, but we did, mutually a couple days later. It wasn’t long after that I went to Texas to meet his friends and family, and we had decided to move in together and blend our children. Today, we have a college student, 9 year old, and our beautiful Cavapoo Maverick . Cole and I have had a long road with a lot of hiccups over the last 6 years, and we’ve managed to still be so in love with each other, despite the challenges we’ve faced. This is why our love continues to be strong.

Cole asked me to marry him in April 2022, at a restaurant. It was cool and casual. Cole is happy to give me my dream fairytale wedding with all of our friends and family. He’s even helping with the planning😍 I can’t wait to marry my soul mate, and celebrate with all of our loved ones.
