My name is Cale Jarnagan and I am the best man. I am brother to the groom and long time friend of the bride. We go way back to early morning bible studies in JR high and somehow surviving childhood in a home full of boys all the way to now where we are all grown and figuring out our future. I’m am so happy I got to experience the growth from an awkward and drama filled crush to a mature and Spirit filled relationship.

I don’t know the exact moment I met Lace, I think it was the day she was born. I wasn’t even two yet so I don’t remember much. What I do remember and cherish so much is that growing up, Lace and I were very close. My most distinct memory with Lace is a trip we took to Vegas with just us two and our moms. We were walking back to our hotel room after eating at the Rainforest Cafe, where we pretended it was Laceys birthday. (I still have the candle they put in her ice cream) In the hallway to our room as my mom and I turn the corner Lace and sissy were no where to be found. I said out loud “wow they walk fa....” and they jumped out from behind the wall and scared the life out of me. We all laughed so hard! I love you lace! Thank you for being the incredible person you are!

Cole is my younger brother, and It has been so gratifying seeing how he has grown through the years. I haven’t always been the best role model to him; his heart and faith helped guide him when I couldn’t. I believe those qualities are what led him to find the love of his life. This marks the beginning for Cole and Lacey to be one jointed person and to create a family. I am so proud of you little brother; cant wait to see you become a father one day and how it’ll change you.

I’ve known Lacey, well, since birth. Having a cousin the same age is a blessing most take for granted. When asked what my favorite memory is with Lacey it’s hard to pinpoint one. A time that comes to mind is when we were at hurricane harbor and while walking, her flip flop casually gets swept away into a drain, to never be seen again. I will never forget the look on her face before we both burst into laughter. She did in fact walk around the theme park with one shoe for the rest of the day as we would swap flip flops, switching from who had one shoe between the two of us. Lacey is a very special kind of person who radiates Gods love, which is the most beautiful thing to be around. I feel very lucky to be able to be apart of a beautiful wedding with two people who are shaped for each other.

Growing up, playing, fighting, skating and playing sports is what we always did. We all just fed off each other’s similar interests. Cole has been nothing but caring & giving his whole life. He has never hesitated to help or share when he has the opportunity. Always making the effort to reach out & willing to just hang with you. Always makes you laugh or knows when to cheer you up. A rare breed with goofy personality, a loving soul with pure compassion, and a brother who will fill your heart. It’s beautiful to see my youngest brother get married to the woman he loves very dearly. I can’t wait to be there next to you as you start this new chapter in your life. Lacey and I have been friends for almost 7 years. We met freshmen year of high school and we’ve been friends ever since! Over the years we have experienced so many things together. From running in the orchards, to graduating high school, being long distance friends, graduating COLLEGE, and now I get to watch her marry the love of her life. Cole and I met as babies but became brothers later on in life. Cole was never the cool, calm, collected kid he is these days. Cole was the Tasmanian devil of all the brothers. Always so hyper and full of energy. It took a little while to get used to it, but when he’s not around, we tend to miss him. It’s weird to have 2 little brothers that I actually look up to. Cole is playing the sport he loves, getting a degree for the job he will love and all while he gets married to the woman he loves. That’s what life is about and the kid is doing it. He’s doing it with a smile on his face and a Bang energy drink in his backpack. Love seeing my brothers succeed.

In school, you could find us laying on the floor of our math class watching movies together or eating bread together in Romania when there was nothing else to eat! We always joke that Lace is one of my two friends that I kept from highschool (shoutout Tessa) but oh how thankful I am for her!

I have known Cole since we were kids. I was lucky to call him a friend and then blessed to call him a brother in 2005. Me being the older brother I remember him being the annoying and energetic younger brother. I also remember though how loving and sweet he was and still is. I was so blessed to be able to have Cole stand by my side as I got married and now I get to stand by him and so beyond thrilled for the next steps in this journey that he will partake in with Lacey who is an amazing addition for our family.

Lacey & i met at DISNEYLAND!!! We clicked immediately and found so much in common. I remember we had only been friends for a few months but it already felt like years. I love all of our memories that happened during “crackhead hours” is what we would call it(; we would get stuck on our couch talking til 4am way too often, check our schedules every day to make sure we could hangout every single day, and never get tired of each other. i love that our friendship is built on extreme goofiness, cuddling in tiny beds, and froyo runs. BESTIE FOREVER!!!

Cole is one of the most genuine guys I’ve met in my life. I’ve never met someone who cares about the people around him like he does. He seems to live his life putting others first & this has not been more true than when it comes to our friendship. We’ve been friends long enough for him to see the ugliest side of my life thus far, part that I’m still embarrassed by but the cool part is, he never once treated it as that. He would come up smiling, give me a firm hug, & ask “hey man how are you?” He never looked at me for my mistakes but embraced as a friend. Moral of our friendship is that he has always been there for me. Whether it’s a day of driving around SoCal or one of us in down in the dumps, Cole is always there. For that, I am so excited to be there for him on his big day. Love ya bud

Lacey & I met randomly met during our first semester at Biola through another friend one night while doing face masks together, but I didn’t see her much after until we had a class together the next semester. Lacey is a radiant ball of sunshine & I remember feeling so seen & loved by her even though I barely knew her in that freshman New Testament class. The rest is history. We’ve had the sweetest memories on road trips listening to every One Direction song that exists, being roomies & getting ready for early morning classes, sharing our hearts with one another, and laughing our heads off at dumb jokes or funny instances. Lacey is loving, loyal, and filled with laughter & her warmth radiates to those around her. I’m blessed to know her & to stand by her as she marries the man of her dreams

Cole & I met in 2017 at APU. Immediately, I was overwhelmed by his outgoing energy that comes from his huge supply of BANG energy drinks! Cole quickly proved himself as a great football player & an outstanding athlete. Our friendship quickly developed into one off the field; I’m thankful to think of him as a brother. I don’t know anyone else as authentic and easy going as Cole. I’m supremely thankful for the time spent in conversation with Cole about life & the God we love, his insight has encouraged & shaped me to be a better man & Christian. Cole has a heart for the Lord & that is revealed in how he loves those around him, especially Lacey. Thank you Cole for introducing me to lulu pants & for watching Adventure Time. Lacey & I first became friends through our job at Biola! We spent late nights closing down the coffee shop & jamming to music til 1am. I always admired her work ethic & she pushed me to be a better coworker & be more positive even on the hard days! My fav memories are going to the gym (even though we would end up laying on the floor laughing trying to do workouts) or when she would take me home to her family in Bakersfield & show me her fav spots! Living together our junior year in our little apartment was a blast. I always laugh at the times we would both try to cook in our small kitchen & when we did random jumping contests in the pool. I am so excited to stand by Lacey & Cole’s side for their wedding. They both are positive & loving people & care deeply about their friends & family!

Cole and Lacey The thing I admire most about Cole and Lacey’s relationship is that their conflicts include God in some way. I’ve heard many of their arguments on the phone with each other because Cole was my roommate in college. The difference is that when they argued, the conversation ultimately ended with a transition into what God wants for their relationship. I really admire that because this kind of patience only comes from people who know that God is the one in control of their relationship. Being able to choose love and honoring God in spite of negative feelings is very rare in a relationship. I’m excited to see what God has in store for Cole and Lacey. What’s also exciting is that Cole found someone that laughs at all his lame jokes. Haha, I’m kinda kidding. Love you guys!
