How We Met

First Comes Quick Add, Then Comes Marriage

Cole added Jewel through quick add on snapchat. He was trying to meet more people in the area. Jewel didn't normally accept strangers, but for some reason decided to accept him anyway. They quickly began chatting and Jewel realized that he was actually a good guy, and not after what most guys want. They met in person for the first time at Pride 2024. Cole gave Jewel a ride to the after party and when they got in the car Taylor Swift was playing. Cole started singing every word! Jewel knew in that moment he was the one for her. They both wanted to take things slow, but they just couldn't keep their walls up with each other. Fast forward 7 months, and they're engaged and planning a wedding! When you know, you know!

The Story Behind The Ring

Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace

Cole and Jewel had been discussing marriage for a few months prior to getting engaged. Jewel sent him a few ring ideas and let him choose which he liked best. One of the rings she sent had small bits of purple in it. He chose that one because not only is it her favorite color, but it's the color scheme for her favorite Taylor Swift album "Speak Now". When Jewel got sober she went to rehab and had a flip phone with the YouTube app. Taylor Swift had just released the re-recording of Speak Now (Taylor's Version) so naturally she played the album every chance she got in there. She says that album is what helped her get sober, and through one of the hardest times in her life. Of course Cole had to pick a ring with something meaningful in it.
