What airport should I fly into?

Answer

The closest airport is Liberia International Airport (LIR), located about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Tamarindo. Alternatively, you can fly into San José International Airport (SJO), but it's a 4–5 hour drive.

How do I get from the airport to Tamarindo?

What’s the weather like?

Tamarindo is warm and tropical year-round. Expect temperatures between 75°F and 90°F. Rainy season is May–November, often with brief afternoon showers.

What should I wear to the ceremony?

For women, we recommend long or midi-length dresses in light fabrics and summery colors. For men, lightweight dress pants paired with a button-down shirt are perfect. Jackets are not required.

How do I pay while in Costa Rica?

Answer

The local currency is the Costa Rican Colón (₡). Most restaurants, shops, and tour companies accept credit cards and U.S. dollars. However, be aware that some places may offer a low exchange rate if you're paying in dollars, so it’s a good idea to carry some local currency for small purchases or tips. ATMs are available in town if you need to withdraw colones or dollars.
