Our childhood best friends actually were brother and sister. We would always hangout after school and just have fun cause we were kids. As kids, Cole and I would always “play jokes” on each other or make fun of each other. There would be days my best friend and I would run over to his house to see if he could come out and play with us or run down to the park and watch him play baseball. As years went by, we barley talked and the only time we would talk is when his best friend and mine decide to hang out together. But every time we hung out I would always have this little crush on him. A few more years went by and he was leaving for high school. We have thought about getting together but it never happened. He was either in a relationship and I was single or it was the other way around. Towards the end of my middle school years he randomly popped me up on Facebook just to check up on me and we would just talk all night long till the sun came up. Of course it clicked after that! It may have taken him a little while and a little push for him to ask me out. He finally asked me to be his girlfriend the night of July 9, 2010. After that, everything fell into place! Never in a million years would I have known from day one we met that we would be a “forever thing” and never would I have thought that I would saying “I marrying my High School Sweetheart.” But don’t get me wrong, we weren’t perfect, not even close to “perfect”. We got into lots of fights, break ups, and cry’s before we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. But I don’t regret everything we went through as it has taught us so much and what love really is. In order to know what love really is, you really do need face all the up/down hill battles. We both finally agreed that we wanted to spend forever with one another and decided to get engaged in the fall of 2017.
