Locking eyes on the dance floor at his fraternity house…. I watched him dance as though nobody was watching and showing off the BEST dance moves. I knew right then and there that he was somebody I wanted to know. We didn’t know it then, but that was the start of the rest of our lives!

Our love has always been easy and effortless, which is my favorite part about our story. In fact, it has been so easy that the first time we said that we loved each other we didn’t even think twice… As Cole left with his friends I gave him a kiss goodbye, and effortlessly, without thought I said “bye, I love you” as if I have said it to him already 1000 times before. The door closed and I prayed that maybe he just didn’t hear me because who just blurts that out?! To my surprise, moments later he came back inside and said “I love you too”. I like to believe that my mouth finally said what I have known in my heart for months.

For those who have met our Fur Baby Odin, you know that he truly is the best thing to ever happen to us. The moment Odin saw Cole, he immediately jumped into his arms and we knew that he chose us. Odin is always included in everything we do, he gets to join us for birthday parties, Thanksgiving, Christmas and even gets his own birthday party every year! Yes, we are obsessed, and no we do not feel bad about it.

On vacation to one of our favorite spots, Maui, Cole popped the BIG question! One thing about me is that it is VERY hard to surprise me. I usually can catch things before Cole can surprise me. As we were getting ready for a nice dinner, Cole left to the store. I later got a call from him telling me to meet him on the beach for a beautiful sunset. I was greeted with champagne, surrounded by a heart of lei’s, and the man of my dreams on one knee. Of course I said yes, and the rest is history!
