Cole & Cheryl met on a dating app called Bumble, where girls make the first move. After several long conversions on the app, Cheryl asked Cole out on a date. They met at her favorite brewery, Grandma's House, on March 30, 2019. By the end of the date they were both smitten, and started spending a lot more time together. By May 14th, they were official and shared their relationship news on Facebook. When the world locked down in March 2020, Cheryl packed her bags and moved into Cole's one bedroom apartment to isolate together. In July the pair upgraded to a two bedroom apartment with more space, where they currently live with their two cats.

On September 10, 2021, Cheryl came home from work and was told by Cole to get ready for a special dinner. The two headed off to an Italian Restaurant outside of Boulder, Colorado. After dinner Cole drove the two up to the top of the flatirons, a mountain formation that overlooks the college town. While staring out across the valley, Cole turned to Cheryl and asked her to marry him. She of course said yes!

Cole and Cheryl are actively saving to buy a home together! Instead of an expensive wedding, the two decided to elope in a private ceremony in Las Vegas.
