Flight
The airport you will be flying into is Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU), located approximately 8 miles from Old San Juan. The drive typically takes 15 to 20 minutes by Uber, depending on traffic conditions.
Rental Car
If you're staying in Old San Juan, renting a car is not necessary, as the area is very walkable and well-connected by ride-sharing services. However, if you plan to explore other parts of the island, you may wish to rent a car. We recommend doing so either directly at the airport or through a package deal with your flight, as both options tend to be convenient and cost-effective. Please note that not all accommodations offer parking, particularly in Old San Juan. If you plan to rent a car, we suggest confirming parking availability with your hotel or Airbnb in advance. Additionally, for those interested in joining certain excursions, we will be arranging shuttle transportation from El Convento. Be sure to check out the “Things to Do” tab for more details and sign-up information.
Hotel
The ceremony and reception will be held here, located in the heart of beautiful Old San Juan. We are reserving a block of rooms at the hotel for our guests. If you're considering staying there, please let us know! We may be able to include you in our room block for a discounted rate. Feel free to reach out so we can try to secure your spot.

Travel Note
Hotel Accommodations: These are just a few hotel recommendations for your stay—but feel free to explore Airbnb options in the area as well, especially if you're seeking a more budget-friendly option. The hotels we've suggested are conveniently located near the wedding venue in Old San Juan, making them ideal for guests who want to stay within walking distance. If you choose to stay in other parts of Puerto Rico, please note that transportation may require the use of ride-sharing services such as Uber. Language & Navigation: English is widely spoken in San Juan, especially in tourist-friendly areas like Old San Juan. Most signs and menus are bilingual, and you’ll find it easy to get around. Passport & Entry Requirements: Since Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, American citizens do not need a passport to travel to the island. A valid government-issued ID (such as a driver's license) is sufficient for entry, making travel as easy as visiting another U.S. state. Currency: Puerto Rico uses the U.S. dollar (USD), and major credit cards are accepted in most places. It's still a good idea to carry a small amount of cash for smaller shops or vendors. Weather: San Juan enjoys warm, tropical weather year-round. Expect temperatures in the 80s°F (27–30°C), with a chance of light showers. We recommend packing lightweight clothing, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and a small umbrella—just in case! Time Zone: Puerto Rico is in the Atlantic Standard Time (AST) zone and does not observe daylight saving time, so be sure to check your phone or watch accordingly. Safety & Etiquette: San Juan is generally safe for travelers, especially in tourist areas. As always, use common sense—avoid displaying valuables and stay aware of your surroundings. Puerto Ricans are friendly and hospitable, and a polite “Hola” or “gracias” is always appreciated.
