Bride
The woman of the hour, the lady of the evening, the star of the show. You know her, you love her, you celebrate this immense joy with her - she needs no introduction! A woman with a deep love of all things colorful, funky, and loud (If you can't tell yet, just WAIT until the wedding!). Protector of bugs, lover of kinda-ugly-mostly-cute dogs, and soon, Mrs. Dixon!
Groom
Some may know him as the life of any party, Berklee knows him as her better half. This is the man who can amaze others with his actor-naming skills and his vast knowledge of music. Need to know the one NFL team that has a plant for a mascot? He's your guy. Need 4 perfectly cooked grilled cheeses? He's also your guy. Ladies and gentlemen, the groom.
Maid of Honor
Berklee's little sister, forever duet partner, and sounding board. Berit is someone who cares so deeply about her people that it is actually a little unfair to buy Christmas gifts for her. She is artistic, passionate, and surprisingly great at portraying young boys on stage. Be sure to ask her who she played in The Addams Family!
Best Man
Cole's older brother and #1 electrician. Josh stands by his people, makes them laugh until they cry, and then will feed them a mean smoked meat. Josh is a loving father, devoted husband, has been known to wreck a family photo or two. Cole and his brother have a very special bond. They like to spend their time together talking about sports, watching sports, and yelling at the people who officiate sports.
Maid of Honor
Tori is simultaneously the most and least organized person Berklee has ever met, and for that she admires her immensely. Tori taught Berklee that it's okay it be a strong, independent woman, and love being wrapped up in a blanket burrito at the same time. Tori is always up for a good time, whether that's cleaning her house, listening to a smutty book, or dressing up in wigs and hitting the town.
Groomsman
Formally known as the D.O.G. (Director of Golf), and informally known as Steve, this guy is the king of games. Whether it's golf, darts, or a 7-hour long Sherlock Holmes game, Steve is your guy. The best part about playing games with Steve is that everyone always assumes he is lying so he is an easy shield. Berklee is so thrilled for a life of "New year, new Cuba" on every January 1st.
Bridesmaid
Grace is the youthful, extroverted friend that every 25-year-old grandma needs. Berklee and Grace work next door to each other, sit next to each other for lunch, and spend most nights together doing pilates or on the phone with each other. They still haven't run out of things to talk about! Berklee is so thankful for Grace, but even more thankful that Grace has stopped apologizing for asking questions at work.
Groomsman
Tyler and Cole met back in 3rd grade with Tyler moved down the street, and they have been two peas in a pod ever since. Tyler is probably the nicest person you will ever meet. One of the Dixon's favorite summer past times is laying out by Tyler's pool while he grills burgers and then feeds us, before tucking us in and reading a bedtime story.
Bridesmaid
Marie was one of Berklee's very first friends when she started working in East Peoria. She has always been a champion for the people she cares about, whether it's her students or Berklee. Marie is Berklee's funniest (and only?) homeschooled friend, and the girls love to spill tea and eat Culver's together. Berklee is so lucky to know Marie!
Groomsman
Codey and Cole attended high school together, but grew close when they both worked tirelessly for the United Parcel Service. The boys share a love for computer gaming, drinking a beer, and mail. May this be your reminder to always thank your local UPS driver!
Bridesmaid
Taylor is Cole's sister and previous landlord. Cole, Berklee, and Taylor lived together for a few months in 2022 where they played lots of Mario Party. Cole and Taylor grew up knowing that Cole was Tracy's favorite, but now they will both have to live with the fact that Berklee has filled that role. Berklee is so thrilled to call Taylor her sister.
Groomsman
Dylan and Cole used to play basketball at EastSide back when these boys could still move. And, *surprise!* they love to talk about sports. To remain of Dylan's good side, Berklee always tries to make a second March Madness bracket with Duke winning.
Bridesmaid
Robin is Cole's sister in law, Josh's wife, and Berklee's idol. Robin has been known to run on Robin Central Time, which is why her invitation says the ceremony is at 2. She is supportive, loving, and a remarkable mother. Berklee is so excited to call Robin her sister.
Groomsman
Cole and Lucas attended kindergarten together, where they most likely caused Mrs. Cassidy to drink during the school day. They loved playing outside together as boys, and that relationship has blossomed into one where they send the occasional Instagram Reel. Lucas is Cole's longest friend, and also his friend with the longest beard.
Officiant
Kelsie is loving, fiercely loyal, and a legit baller. Kelsie has climbed more mountains than most of these Illinois natives have ever seen in their lives! Kelsie is the perfect person to marry Cole and Berklee because she has been there from the start. In 2021, on a FaceTime call, Kelsie introduced herself to Berklee by including "I can't wait for you to marry Cole!" after her name. Well, Kelsie, the wait is over!
