Our first date was nothing short of an adventure. We had never met before, and were both obviously very nervous. Cole showed up to my front door, toting a dozen roses. Mind you, it was the day before Valentine’s Day. I was so taken aback by the flowers, and Cole that my dog slipped out the door and into the street. 40 minutes, a missed dinner reservation, a handful of frozen turkey burgers, and a couple failed attempts later... we finally were able to catch her. I was mortified, but Cole laughed it off and we went about our night, just a little delayed. It was one heck of an ice breaker. Our first date will always be one of my favorite days together. 🤍

Oh the proposal...If you’ve seen the pictures and video of our proposal, you know I was so shocked. Cole teamed up with our friends Nick + Alex to pull off quite the surprise. It all started right after we got back from a very expensive ski trip. Alex asked us to join her and Nick at Flight for a nice dinner before they moved away to Charlotte. I wanted to say no, but Cole convinced me that we should really “show up” for our friends, and to just say yes. So, the day came and it was rainy and gross out. I spent the entire day in bed and again, tried to convince him to cancel 🤣. Cole, being my voice of reason, talked me into it again. We get ready and head downtown, and I’m oblivious. Before walking from Nick + Alex’s downtown loft to Flight, Alex suggested Cole and I take pictures on Main Street. So, again... OBLIVIOUS, we’re posing and BOOM. Cole went into a full blown speech, I blacked out, and immediately started sobbing. I said yes! Duh! Having our best friends there to share this moment, and document it for us was the best thing. I am so thankful for this day and SO PUMPED to plan a wedding and marry my best friend. 🤍
