Dani and Ian met when they both moved into the South Hall dorms studying Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales University, in Providence Rhode Island the fall of 2013. They did not know each other very well during their first year at college. They started to get to know each other that spring semester when they ended up having labs together.

After a summer filled with text exchanges and MANY fishing pictures sent by you know who; many consecutive days of hanging out together at school and a lot of convincing on Dani's end that they were already more than "just friends". Dani & Ian finally decided to go on a date on 12.23.2014. They had a magical NYC Christmas date that year, filled with visiting the Macy's holiday displays, Rockefeller Center, hot chocolate, and the Central Park Holiday Market. This would soon become an anniversary tradition.

Dani & Ian's first big international vacation was to Costa Rica. The gorgeous county where Dani's mother grew up. Despite being in the county during Hurricane Maria and being stuck on the resort, they were finally able to fit in as many excursions as possible such as zip lining, ATVs, etc. This included Dani's first experience with sports fishing.

After years of saving and looking for a house to call home Dani and Ian finally settled into Little Silver in April 2022.

Christmas has always been Dani & Ian's favorite holiday. It would make sense that this day would be the perfect day for a proposal. This year was extra special since it was the first Cole Christmas back since the COVID shutdown of 2020 and the Omicron virus of 2021. There were about 50 people that showed up to Christmas that year. Once everyone sat down for dinner and Ian forced Dani to sit down to "eat". Ian got up to make a speech; thanking everyone for coming and talking about being grateful we were for all the friends and family who came to spend this special day together. And at the very end, Ian got down on one knee and proposed to Dani. In complete shock, she finally said yes! and the rest is history.
