Mount Washington
One of the best views of the city from up here! Just a short drive from downtown or take the Duquesne Incline up to the top (see below for details). Views are incredible day or night!
Strip District
Highly recommend visiting the Strip District neighborhood if you have some time (especially Saturday morning). Penn Avenue between 16th St. and 30th St. is lined with a mix of old-style grocers and gourmet food shops, street stands selling produce and T-shirts, as well as bars and restaurants.
Lawrenceville
Walkable neighborhood with tons of restaurants, shops, bakeries, and bars that's only ~10-15 minutes driving distance from downtown Pittsburgh. Definitely worth a visit while you're in town!
Duquesne Incline
Scale Mount Washington in one of two original 1877 cable cars for an awesome view of the Pittsburgh skyline when you reach the top. Parking available across the street from the lower station at 1197 West Carson Street ($5 roundtrip ride).
Point State Park Fountain
The Point is just a short walk from downtown and has great views of the city and surrounding rivers. There are also biking/walking trails nearby that are also worth checking out!
