Our story began early on into our college careers. Only a week after moving to Montana, our mutual friend groups met up at the local lake to enjoy the sun and play some volleyball. Over the course of the next year and a half we spent lots of time together in and outside of school and our friendship grew unbreakable.

We began dating halfway through our sophomore year on January 24th, 2022. We went on a snowy walk on a trail near Sarah's apartment. Both too awkward to tell each other how we felt, eventually Sarah broke the silence. We professed our feelings and decided to start our relationship that night. As we walked through the trail, the snow began falling, and the street lights illuminated the snowflakes like they do in the movies.

Colby had been working on Sarah's ring for about a year before it was ready for a proposal. The ring holds significant sentimental value for the both of them. The sapphire stones were mined by the two of them in Phillipsburg, MT. The center diamond was the first stone used in Colby's Nana Susie's ring which she and his Bobop Lee generously provided to him. On the day of the proposal (Sarah's birthday), Colby broke Sarah out of work an hour early in order to make it to their special sunset watching spot on time. The sunset spot holds a special spot in their hearts as it was one of the first places they hung out together as friends, and it was the first place they said "I love you". After watching the sunset, Colby got down on one knee, asking Sarah to marry him, while also accidentally opening the ring box upside down. Thankfully, she said YES! Now, the rest is history and we are so excited to have you join us for our special day! For Colby, he knew he wanted to marry Sarah the beginning of their sophomore year. For Sarah, she would agree. It was meant to be for the two of us. Forever best friends who began as just two teenagers in love.
