It all started a couple years ago in the fall of 2022. This was the first time that Malena and Colby would meet each other in Colorado Springs. It would not be until fall of 2023 that they truly connected with one another. This was during their secondary school in YWAM. About a month into the school, Malena and Colby decided to make things official and start their dating relationship. From the beginning they both knew that this could be a serious relationship. A couple months into their relationship they started talking about what the future may look like. This was a time of dreaming together and looking forward to their future together. They spent time getting to know each other and chasing after God's heart together. After spending 4 months of their relationship across the world from each other (as Malena was in Thailand and Colby was overseas for a few months in various countries and then in Colorado), Colby proposed mid September of 2024. And, of course, Malena said yes! Colby is of course from Maryland and Malena's home state is Wisconsin. They both share of love of the outdoors as they adventure in Colorado and around the world. Colby and Malena share the same desire to disciple young men and women in a relationship with Jesus. They both desire to seek the Lord and following His calling to serve locally and to the nations. There gifts and talents compliment one and they work hard on honoring God in all they do.
