We're getting Married!

It all began at the end of Colby’s senior year and the start of Lexie’s junior year in high school - just a passing moment that turned into forever. What started as two kids with big dreams and busy schedules quickly turned into something steady, something real, and lot's of late night Blizzard runs. After the summer of 2017, life began pulling them in different directions. Colby headed off to Schreiner University, and Lexie continued her days running around their small town with her friends. Distance never dulled what they had, and eventually Colby made his way back home to La Vernia, trading the Hill Country views for backroad "shortcuts" pursuing his degree in accounting at Texas A&M San Antonio. Lexie took her first steps toward becoming an artist shortly after at the University of Texas, making weekend visits worth every second while exploring the Forty Acres. Yet still, their love only grew stronger. Through long weekends, facetime calls, and holiday reunions, Colby and Lexie built something lasting - something that felt like home no matter where they were. Now, life looks a little different. The two just bought their first house, right on the golf course where they spend most of their time with family and friends. Almost never missing a evening "w-a-l-k" with Baxley, their happy-go-lucky labradoodle, and Maggie, their feisty little weenie dog. They’re filling it with laughter, love (and lots of dog toys according to Colby) slowly turning it into their own. Eight years together, and Colby and Lexie still look at each other the way they did in those high school hallways - just with a few more stories and a lot more love. On April 11, 2026, Colby and Lexie will finally say “I do” - not because they need a piece of paper to prove what they already know, but because they can’t wait to spend forever as husband and wife.
