We're getting married

Alyssa Staino

&

Colby Muhleisen

October 12, 2024

Webster, NY

The Beginning

September 2010

We first met in September 2010, by accident. Alyssa was working on a project for homecoming with a friend, and this friend was dating a young man who was close with Colby. Well, this young man came by the school to visit his girlfriend and happened to bring Colby with him. Later that evening, the four of us went to the Friendly's in Brockport (that location sadly no longer exists), and Alyssa received a facebook message from Colby later that evening to share his phone number. It wasn't until 7 months later that we officially started dating, but something started that September evening in 2010 that stuck with us all the way to our wedding day in 2024!

The Next Chapter

Fall/Winter 2015

Fall has always been a special time for us, hence our wedding date! It's the season we met, it's one of our favorite times to hike, it's when we take our annual trip to Robb Farms, and it's when we purchased our first home! Shortly after moving into our home in December 2015, Colby suggested we visit a dog breeder. He has always had a love for dogs, especially shepherds, and he "just wanted to look" at puppies that chilly winter day. Lo and behold, we came home with a little ball of fur that has become the center of our family! Our lives, and relationship, would not be the same without her!

The Start of Forever

March 2023

Over the years, we've developed a special place in our hearts for nature. We love to do just about anything outdoors, and feel so lucky to live less than 5 minutes from North Hampton Park. When we have a bad day, we hike. When we're stressed and need to recenter, we hike. When Zoey is rambunctious and needs to explore, we hike. We've had many picnics, seen many sunsets, thrown many frisbees, and shared many thoughts at that park. We've had some of our best memories there, and it's given more to us than we can explain. So, when Colby suggested we go for a hike one Saturday, it seemed like just another day. It was a little rainy, but nothing we couldn't handle! We crested the sledding hill toward one of our go-to trails, when Colby stopped to propose. It was an interesting afternoon trying to wrangle Zoey in the rain. Especially, because she tackled Colby and he almost dropped the ring! BUT, it was our kind of perfect, in the most perfect place, on the most perfect day.
