How we met:
Colby and Alex met Alex's senior year at Alfred University. Colby had attended Alfred State (right across the street from Alfred University.) After a few weeks of chatting, Colby asked Alex on a first date:
"Option A - food. Food is typically a good option.. comfortable, enjoyable, somewhat uneventful, dry and warm. Option B - somewhat risky, unplanned, possibly cold and wet maiden voyage of my canoe on the Genesee River somewhere close to Alfred. Option B comes with the accompaniment of a cute dog and will either be memorably enjoyable or an even more memorable disaster"
Spoiler alert: We got engaged on that river 7 years later!

A picture of the time we booked a horseback camping trip, so our tour guide Cowboy Joe left us at the top of a WV mountain with 3 loose horses and a gun and said "see you in the morning".
