Founded by Martha Berry in 1902, Berry College sits on the world's largest college campus and boasts historic buildings and homes of many architectural styles. Sites include one of the world's largest wooden overshot waterwheels, historic chapels and miles of mountain trails for hiking and biking.
Myrtle Hill Cemetery
One of the most beautiful cemeteries in the nation sits atop Myrtle Hill at the confluence of the Etowah, Oostanaula and Coosa rivers. Offering an unimpeded view of downtown Rome, Georgia, to the northeast, the Etowah Valley to the east, and the Appalachian foothills to the south, the cemetery boasts spectacular vistas and historic significance which combine to make it one of the most unique in the world.

Atop Lavender Mountain on the Berry College campus, enjoy the walking trails around this board-and-batten cottage built by Berry students as a gift to Martha Berry for the college's 20th anniversary.
