we're getting married!

It all began in New Orleans, Louisiana. McKenzie was living in the city, and Colbey was visiting with his friends to watch their college (Baylor University) play in a Bowl Game. That weekend, fate had plans neither of them could have predicted. McKenzie and her roommate, Lexie, decided to have a girls’ day on Bourbon Street and ended up at a lively bar called Razzoo Bar & Patio—just in time for a dance competition on stage. Lexie joined in… and so did Colbey. His dance moves clearly made an impression, because before long McKenzie was asking his friend, Walker, for more information about “the guy on stage.” After the competition, their two groups met and spent the evening talking and laughing. Over the next two days, they kept running into each other—by complete coincidence. It was as if the universe was giving them a little nudge. Before the weekend ended, McKenzie and Colbey exchanged numbers, and soon began flying back and forth between Dallas and New Orleans to see each other. Just three months later, they officially started dating, and six months after that, McKenzie made the move to Dallas to be with Colbey. Today, they live happily near The Woodlands, TX with their perfect dog, Teche. They are proof that sometimes love really does find you when you least expect it.
