FAQs

Question

What does "summer formal" mean?

Answer

Women - midi or maxi fancy dresses of all colors or patterns. We recommend not wearing stilettos since you'll be walking on grass! Men - a matching suit and tie

Question

Where should I park my car if I'm driving to the wedding?

Answer

Please park your car at Penfield Pavilion (323 Fairfield Beach Road, Fairfield, CT 06824). Let the onsite parking attendant know you are there for the wedding, and you will be directed to where there is available parking. You will be given a complimentary placard for your windshield. Cars can be left overnight, if needed, until 10 AM the next day. There will be shuttle buses waiting in the parking lot to take you to the ceremony (which is located about 5 minutes down the road). You will be reunited with your car at the end of the night since we’ll all make it back to Penfield Pavilion for the reception. Please note there is NO parking at the ceremony location.

Question

What time are the shuttle buses to the ceremony?

Answer

Shuttle buses will be leaving Penfield Pavilion for the ceremony at 4:20pm. Please factor in the time it will take to check in with the parking attendant and to park your car.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony if I’m getting dropped off?

Answer

Please aim to arrive around 4:30 PM as we'd like to start the ceremony promptly at 5:00 PM. (We really mean 5PM.) There will be refreshing beverages pre ceremony :)

Question

What's the best way to get to Fairfield from NYC?

Answer

We recommend taking the Metro North train to avoid Friday afternoon traffic (you will get stuck in it, and it’ll take an hour longer than the train.) We suggest taking the 3:02PM train from Grand Central that gets into Fairfield at 4:12PM. The train is on New Haven line. The stop is Fairfield (NOT the Fairfield Metro stop, which is the stop after Fairfield). If you are staying at the Delamar Hotel, the Southport stop is closest (it’s right before Fairfield). The wedding festivities are a 10 minute drive from the Fairfield train station. Uber and Lyft are reliable in the area, but we recommend scheduling a pickup in advance to avoid a possible wait.

Question

Are vaccines required to attend?

Answer

Yes! We also encourage you to take a COVID test within 24-hours of the wedding to play it safe. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
