Stephen & Catherine

Wedding Party

Some of our most favorite, supportive and loving family & friends. The groomsmen are written from Stephen's perspective and the bridesmaids are written from Catie's. The officiant and ring bearer are written from them both.

Sean Russell Cohen

Officiant

Catie's brother and our spiritual guide through this ceremony. While our wedding plans and dates have shifted a few times, having Sean officiate was an idea from the start and has never faltered or change. You may wonder, why have Sean officiate? And the simple answer is that we will get good pictures out of it. Just kidding. It is because Sean is a scientist, surfer, joke teller and an undying supporter of our relationship.

Weston Daniels

Ring Bearer

The most handsome ring bearer in all the kingdom. We found and flew him in just for the occasion. Weston is Breanne and Clint's son. We remember receiving the letter and sonogram alerting us to his arrival. Catie also remembers the tears of joy at that letter and Stephen bore witness. Now, every time we see him, we beam at who he is and who he shows his parents to be. Honored to have him holding onto our expensive jewelry and ensuring that we exchange it.

Alexandra Forseth

Maid of Honor

Mah main lady. We met through Alyssa as Exxon babies over margaritas and our friendship has grown in the most beautiful way. The way we communicate fills my soul, snaps me out of the blues and doses me with reality when needed. I feel fully supported by her and am honored to have her in my life. I don't know anyone quite like Alexandra. She is quirky, funny, totally feminine, full of high class, but can relate to anyone, anywhere. She will smoke a cigar, control a playlist that everyone loves and put sugar on her toast. She supports and works for the people she loves more fiercely than I ever knew how. I admire her spirit and mind. Her body is also a wonderland.

Matai Wilson

Best Man

Matai was the first friend I made in college when he decided that he'd rather sleep in the common room rather than his dorm. Since then Matai and I have been there for each other through our victories, failures and all the points in between. We've been the best friends and we've fought like brothers (brothers fight dirty) but if there was ever someone that I could trust to be there for me in a time of need it is Matai.

Erica D'Uva

Bridesmaid

Or as many of us know her, Ebear, or lil Erica. A cousin who I grew up with like a sister. Most of my childhood memories involve cackling with her, eating peanut butter bagels or trolling Sean and Julia. We sadly live far apart now but whenever I see or talk to her I feel like we are right back at the kitchen table or in the little room, being angels again.

Breanne Hollenbach

Bridesmaid

My college roommate and mentee in track and field and cross country. Breanne came to me with the desire to run fast and under my watchful eye, committed tutelage, and exceptional example she became a star of the NJIT Division 1 team.* Breanne is an amazing woman, mother and friend who inspires me to take life by the horns and go my own way. I cannot imagine my life without her friendship and I wish we lived closer so I could babysit and share her clothes. *limitedly factual.

Peter Masaki

Groomsman

Peter and I became friends during a time where both of us had bright blue, then olive green, then blonde hair. Running a fish camp session together and then ultimately sharing a house and an apartment when we graduated and moved to Houston. Peter abandoned me and his friends by moving to Alabama to launch humans into space and we will only forgive him when he moves back to Texas. Oh yeah, we also went to Spain together and did the Running of the Bulls. Neither of us spoke any Spanish, but Peter's animated hand signs when he talks are enough to tell anyone what we need.

Alyssa Smith

Bridesmaid

One of my oldest friends, we met in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in the summer of 2012. She is the lady who lets me be a lady, who I can laugh crazy hard with and who was the first person who ever wanted to buy my bread. She's seen all the phases of my young adult to adult life up close and personal and doesn't care or love me any less. All of that also makes me love her more.

Taylor Roundtree

Groomsman

Taylor and I were drilling engineers at Exxon for what seemed like an eternity. When either of us was on hitch, we constantly talked each through the daily mess that was our jobs. Once we started to be roommates, we starting talking each other through the daily mess that was our lives. Taylor has since moved abroad to be anywhere on any given day, but I know that if I needed his help he would be right around the corner, probably with advice that hurts a bit.

Casey Hirschmann

Bridesmaid

Another one of my oldest friends, I met Casey the same summer I met Stephen. Casey has one of the most generous and adventurous spirits I have ever known. She is unapologetically herself and yet always willing to listen and learn from others. She is one of my heroes and trusted confidants. I love her laugh and laugh often when I am around her.

Walter Collier

Groomsman

Walter and I were roommates for years in college and that bond between us will never die. He is the grillmaster (master smoker?) that tied every tailgate together and can be found sailing, hunting, diving or doing anything that makes all of us wish we had the energy and drive to live his life.
