The in-person ceremony and reception will be formal attire. (If you join us virtually, we encourage you to also dress to impress - at least from the waist up!) The ceremony rehearsal will be semi-formal.
We will be driving Ellie's Subaru Outback cross country 2 days after the wedding! The major waypoints for our route will look something like this: -Cuyahoga Valley National Park (Peninsula, OH) -Cloud Gate (Chicago, IL) -Cave of the Mounds (Blue Mounds, WI) -Mirror Lake State Park (Baraboo, WI) -Badlands National Park (Badlands, SD) -Petrified Forest of the Black Hills (Piedmont, SD) -Black Hills Caverns (Rapid City, SD) -Mount Rushmore (Keystone, SD) -Wind Cave National Park (Hot Springs, SD) -The Mammoth Site (Hot Springs, SD) -Crazy Horse Mountain Memorial (Custer, SD) -Black Hills National Forest (Black Hills, SD) -Devils Tower National Monument (Devils Tower, WY) -Yellowstone Lake (WY) -West Thumb Geyser Basin (WY) -Old Faithful Geyser (WY) -Grand Prismatic Spring (WY) -Grand Canyon of The Yellowstone (WY) -Mammoth Hot Springs (WY) -Glacier National Park (West Glacier, MT) -Flathead Lake (Polson, MT)
We had to reduce our original guest list substantially (by more than 50%) to abide by the state's indoor event requirements and our venue's allowed "covid capacity". Because of this, our guest list now consists of us (the couple), our wedding party, immediate families, and some extended family. We wish we could have everyone with us in-person on our special day, but since we are unable to do this while complying with current state covid regulations, we hope that you will still join us for our ceremony virtually!
As much as we would love to have everyone at the physical ceremony, at this point, we have moved forward with a reduced in-person guest list to comply with covid-related health and safety restrictions. That being said, we will be streaming the ceremony on Zoom to allow people to still be a part of our big day! This "virtual event" is listed under the Schedule tab of the website. You can access the Zoom link here: https://fgschools.zoom.us/j/95497092506?pwd=TzdCbzEzWFV0OU16RkFPYWZ2UTFjdz09
We are asking everyone who is attending in-person to comply with the local covid requirements to limit potential spread of the virus. If you are traveling in from out of state, please be aware of Rhode Island's restrictions and requirements. Currently, depending on what state you are traveling from, Rhode Island requirements may include proof of a negative test taken within 72 hours prior to your arrival, quarantining for 14 days upon arrival, or proof of a vaccine. If you've tested positive within 90 days (of our wedding in May) and completed your isolation period you are not required to have a negative test, but please have dated proof of your positive test result. For the most up-to-date Rhode Island COVID-19 information, as well as local testing sites, check out this website: https://covid.ri.gov/covid-19-prevention/travel-tofrom-ri
Since we have hired a photographer to get all those great shots during the ceremony, we would love for our guests to be unplugged (unless you are watching the live stream of it) and in the moment instead of taking it all in through your cell phone!
We value our privacy and would appreciate if you avoided posting pictures of us (the couple) before we even get a chance to see what our wonderful photographer has captured.
We would highly recommend flying into TF Green Airport (PVD) since it is a smaller airport and way closer to the venue than Boston Logan is. We are both huge fans of Southwest airlines and that's what we primarily used over the last three years while visiting each other.
Rhode Island is pretty small, so most of the state is fair game depending on if your priority is exploring or you want to be as close to the venue as possible. Most native Rhode Islanders consider anything more than half an hour to be a day trip (pack a lunch!), but with the ceremony being in the very rural Foster, you should probably expect places to be a 15-30 minute drive from the venue.
