I was working as a server at Bricktown Brewery. Zach came in to eat with his parents and I said something about how hot he was to my friend Brooke (shout out to Brooke 💁🏻‍♂️). Idk if it was my turn or if someone just sat him in my section because I said he was hot but either way he sat in my section. I was so nervous to go over there because im really shy and a couple of our managers were on vacation so we were out of basically everything. I went over to take their drink orders and his dad ordered sweet tea but we were out of sugar. I don’t remember everything that was said i just remember constantly looking up at Zach and smiling the whole time I was at the table. When i went back to get their food order i had to tell them we were out of okra and basically everything else that they wanted to order and it was so embarrassing but they were so nice about it. Im not the best flirt usually anyway but it’s really hard to flirt and tell someone you’re out of everything they’re ordering. When they got up and left i went to clean up the table and Zach had left his number for me and i was so excited. It’s cool to think about all the seemingly meaningless decisons and small things that happened that day that put us both at the same place at the same time. I’m also glad that this is the way we met because this is a much better story than saying we met on Grindr lol.
