For our friends and family visiting from out of town, we recommend renting an Airbnb or booking a hotel west of the I-5 freeway. Some lovely areas to consider are Ocean Beach, Point Loma, La Jolla Village, Mission Bay, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, or Little Italy in the downtown area. These neighborhoods are all central, walkable, and just a short drive from the venue.
Ideally, you would fly into San Diego International Airport (SAN), but if you're coming from farther away, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is also an option. If you're flying into LAX, the easiest option is to rent a car and enjoy a scenic two-hour drive down the coast to San Diego.
