We met in the most unexpected of places - A dating app! We will forever be grateful to Hinge. Neither of us knew that something so wonderful could come out of "swiping right". In March of 2020, during the pandemic, Cody was back home in New Mexico while Paije remained hunkered down in Arizona. The odds were not necessarily in our favor spending March-June of our new-found relationship being long-distance, but the easy-flowing conversations & attraction from afar kept us both intrigued. FINALLY on July 2, 2020 - we met in person! Our first in-person date was right in Paije's living room (as a disclaimer, she is fully aware that it is very dangerous to invite people you have never met in-person into your home but the pandemic was a strange time and rules did not apply). Fortunately, the date went very well! We chatted for hours while drinking wine and eating pickle-flavored popcorn. Our connection grew very quickly as we bonded over our love for our family, friends, and sports. Cody even hung around to watch 2 episodes of Queer Eye per Paije's request - that's when she knew he was the one. Who kissed who first is still up for debate, but it was obviously Paije who kissed Cody first. Since that day, we have been best friends & our love for each other has only grown. And on October 28, 2024, Cody proposed in our living room, right where our first date was. We've spent the last few years learning each other, traveling together, making each other laugh, building relationships with each other's family and friends, & raising our newest addition, Lou! It's been an incredible time & we truly cannot wait to spend time in Cabo with some of our favorite people while celebrating the love that we are so lucky share. We can't wait to see you all there!
