What time is check in at the Grand Bear Resort at Starved Rock?

Check in is 4:00pm and check out is 11:00am. Currently no early check in is guaranteed.

Are there other hotels in the area?

Answer

Yes! Starved Rock is closest but there’s more in Utica, Oglesby, Peru and Lasalle.

What does the number of seats reserved in my honor mean on my RSVP card?

Answer

This number indicates the maximum number of people (including children) we have allotted for your party. Due to seating in the reception area we couldn’t invite everyone we wanted.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! We know that finding a sitter is hard sometimes so your kids are welcome to join us. However please keep in mind this is a formal event and want everyone to have the best experience possible.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please wear semi-formal attire. For example; Cocktail dresses, dress pants, collard shirts and ties

How many chairs available for the ceremony?

Answer

100 chairs are available. But there’s a bridge where the ceremony can be viewed from.

Did this place have a fire recently?

Answer

Yes, some of the lodging (cabinets and villas) did catch fire. There are still plenty of rooms available.
