We met at a Wenatchee Applesox baseball game the summer going into 7th grade. I went with a friend who was going to meet her "boyfriend" and his friends at the game. Turns out my friend's "boyfriend" was Mr. Cody Clark. Even though I spent the entire evening flirting with my friends boyfriend, I peer pressured them into kissing each other. Years later I discovered this forced kissed I witnessed was my now fiancé's first kiss.
While on the Dofelmire's 25th annual camping trip to Lake Bonaparte, the family had plans to drive to the top of the cliff over looking the lake to "hit golf balls" off the top. With our ever growing family, we now have to take multiple vehicles to get everyone anywhere. I cockily said I would drive Cody and myself to the top and we hopped in my car and said we would meet everyone at the top. We set out and after about half an hour driving down a bumpy dirt road in my Kia I realized I was lost. Another half hour passed while I took different dirt roads all going the complete opposite direction. Eventually I called it quits and went back to camp. After getting back to camp and waiting for the rest of our family to come back I noticed Cody was especially cranky because we didn't keep looking for the correct road which was annoying because they were just hitting golf balls right?? Once the family returned Dad said he found huckleberry bushes at the hop and wanted us all to go back up. So, letting Dad lead this time, we drove back up to the top of the mountain. I got out unaware of anything and sat on my rock and took in the beauty of the scenery. Cody then handed me a gigantic photo album FILLED with pictures of us through out the last 5 1/2 years of our relationship. (This is when I started to get suspicious for those wondering) After carefully looking over each picture and laughing at each memory we came to an empty slot for a picture where Cody said "Do you know what picture goes right there?..THIS one." and got on one knee and asked me to marry him!
