A True Match That Started With a Like and Message!

"The Lord Watch Between Me and Thee While We Are Absent From One Another"

From Lynette's Point of View:   Our love story started with a like and a message. Finding someone to love is difficult, and I have heard many different reviews and opinions about online dating. I decided to try online dating with Match.com, and not too long after, I received a message from Cody. He had expressed interest in starting a conversation with me, and I replied, “It depends on what kind of ice cream you have.” That response sparked a conversation that never stopped. We flirted and messaged each other every day for two weeks. We would have met earlier, but we kept having scheduling conflicts. For the first time in a long while, I felt excited about meeting someone. We finally settled on a date to meet! I nearly did not make the long-awaited date. On the day of our big date, someone decided not to show up at the Information kiosk, and I had to take over. The minutes crept closer and closer to the date, and I began the dreaded text about having to cancel when, all of a sudden, another person volunteered to show up and take over for me. I rushed for 45 minutes to meet him at a bowling alley, and the rest fell into place.   From Cody’s Point of View:   I showed up 30 minutes early because I was nervous and wanted to be sure I was on time. She eventually showed up in a blue car, and my anxiety doubled, but I did my best to put on a calm appearance. Lynette stepped out of the car in her Sunday best, and I was nearly struck motionless. She was stunning, and my anxiety doubled once more. We made our way into the bowling alley, and I would say that I let her win, but I was horribly out of practice. McDonald’s was nearby, and we ate dinner there. We walked around the parking lot many times, conversing and laughing, and when we were tired of walking, we sat on the back of the truck. After she left, all I could think about was our next conversation and date.       “I fell for you unexpectedly, but now I plan to be with you forever and a day.” — unknown
