Zion wasn't even on Jenny's radar until she asked her dad to drive across the country, dropping her off in Arizona to be with Cody while he reclassed in the Army. Her dad's only request was that they make a pit stop in Zion National Park. He wanted to hike to the top of Angel's Landing and explore in the Narrows while he had the chance. Sure, she said. Why not. Jenny fell in love with the colors, scenery, and visitors of Zion from the moment she stepped out of the car. Over and over she told Cody that Zion was a trip of a lifetime and they would one day experience it together. 6 months after that first trip with her dad, Jenny and Cody planned a long weekend camping trip in Zion National Park. It rained the entire weekend. They never had fire. And Cody shrunk his only winter jacket. But they made it to the top of Angel's Landing where they agreed to never stop adventuring and exploring with one another. That trip sparked their weekend trips to see as much of what the West had to offer for their last few months in Arizona before Cody's reclassing was over and they moved themselves back to Pennsylvania. Fast forward a few months thru moving back to the East Coast, getting out of the military, and deciding to pack up their lives and permanently give living in Arizona a shot. Cody decided that when the time came for asking Jenny to marry him he was going to propose at the top of Angel's Landing.
