A social butterfly named Janet and a very smart all-star basketball player named Cody had a math class together in the eighth grade. As they walked into class one morning, they noticed that their seating assignments were located right next to each other. The social butterfly was not the best at math. She needed some help and decided to introduce herself to the very smart all-star basketball player who was sitting next to her. She hoped that he would help her with her math assignment. However, he was super shy and barely spoke a word when she introduced herself.
From that moment on, the social butterfly had one goal in her mind and that was to break the smart all-star basketball, who was a little shy, out of his shell. They got to know each other more and more and let love take its course. As time went on, they started dating the summer before they entered their freshman year of high school and have been high school sweethearts ever since.
Five years later, Cody decided that he was ready to propose. He asked all of her family for their blessings and began the journey of planning the perfect moment. As he led Janet down the walkway of the San Antonio Riverwalk on what she thought was just a birthday dinner, panic began to fill his mind when he saw that somebody else took his spot to propose. They walked around in circles while he was trying to figure out a new spot to propose, when he finally realized that the spot didn't matter. He knew he wanted to marry his high school sweetheart and he had known for a long time. Cody stopped in his tracks and gave Janet her birthday gift in the middle of the walkway (which she definitely thought was strange). Once she opened her gift, it all made sense. As Janet looked up with tears in her eyes, Cody was on one knee asking her to marry him with the most perfect ring. She said yes a million times and heard cheering and clapping all around her. Janet didn't think anything could make this moment even more perfect, but then she realized that the cheering and clapping came from her family and friends that Cody knew were near and dear to her heart. This was the best day ever.
