They say timing is everything , and this is how a span of a couple days changed our lives forever. Our paths crossed, July 24th of last year when a mutual friend invited Heather out to a dive bar, although it was not an official set up, our mutual friend had a plan. We met casually and parted ways and didn’t think anything of it. A couple weeks later, August 6th, the same mutual friend invited Heather over to a barbecue for Cody‘s birthday. As usual, Cody was busy barbecuing. (Cody takes bbq his meat very serious) It wasn’t much of a first date, but it was enough that we were both interested in seeing each other again. The next day August 7th, we went to sushi, where we celebrated Cody’s 23rd birthday. Little did we know it was the first of many. Something was there that neither of us could explain. Just one day later on August 8th, we all went to a concert. (Simple plan and Sum 41). It was at that concert where we shared our first kiss. Heather (who is usually a slow burner) turned to their mutual friend and said “omg those were sparks, I felt sparks!” From that moment on we spent time hanging out and really building a foundation of friendship and trust. We shared stories and a desire to support one another, how ever it was needed. Since the beginning our time spent together was so natural and easy. They say when you know you know! On April 4, after 8 months of growing together Cody proposed. It was a very easy yes for Heather! We are happy to say that we eloped at the court house on April 12th and have been living a dream since. We are both so excited to add another exciting memory celebrating our love with all of you.
