While children are welcome to join us for the church ceremony, we're hosting an adults-only reception. We hope this gives parents a chance to unwind and celebrate the evening with us. If you'd like to arrange childcare, we're happy to help—just let us know!
The "Pueblo Mágico", San Miguel de Allende (SMA) is known for being exceptionally safe and welcoming. SMA is completely walkable and especially magical at night, when the cobblestone streets, historic churches, and colonial buildings glow under beautiful lights in the pedestrian-friendly city center. That said, just like anywhere else use common sense and don’t be dumb.
Walking! The city is extremely walkable and safe at night. Uber. Uber in SMA works great and there's no need to exchange cash. Car However, we don't recommend renting a car (unless you're traveling out of the city) as parking can be tricky and limited.
We recommend withdrawing pesos from an airport ATM upon arrival. Most places accept U.S. credit cards, and ATMs are widely available. Bring smaller bills for tips, artisan markets, and small purchases.
Bring a light rain jacket or umbrella, comfortable walking shoes, and sunscreen. We're celebrating at over 6,000 feet elevation where the sun is strong and weather can be unpredictable.
