Cody and Emily's story began long before they even met.  Let's go back to a time when the two star crossed lovers were deciding where to attend college. The year was 2011, and Emily and Cody both applied to, and were accepted to York College….but due to a clerical error, Emily received her acceptance letter weeks later. The U.S. Postal Service kept their paths apart and meant they were not destined to meet quite yet! While Cody did attend York College, Emily, thinking she was shot down by York, instead went to Misericordia University….neither knowing  what they had missed stumbling upon.  A few years later, destiny would not be denied again….and started to work to get these two together…as the universe intended. As fate would have it, one night in late Spring of 2016, Cody and Emily were mysteriously drawn to Easton. In search for Mexican food, they happened upon the same restaurant that fateful evening. Cody spotted Emily across the bar, wondering why such a pretty woman was sitting by herself. After searching for something clever to say, he mustered up all his courage, and crossed the bar to the chair next to her. Hoping he didn't throw away his chance, he whispered, "I see you have some tequila there.  Are you willing to give me a shot?"  Emily laughed.  Cody smiled.  From that moment on, they went together like chips and salsa.   Just kidding, we met on Tinder. Our first date was in Easton and WAS in a Mexican restaurant… those parts are true. The rest is us having a bit of fun. Since that unexpected beginning, we have been together and there has been no looking back! After about two years, we moved in together. Through a few moves, a few job changes, and a few unforgettable trips, the one that stayed constant was our love for each other and of course the best furry companion anyone could ask for, Modie. Our love has grown over the years, leading us to buying our first house together in Emmaus, where Cody proposed to Emily on 10/10/2020. Since then, we have been preparing for our biggest adventure yet... marriage!
