Cody and Connie were in the same place in their lives, they were ready to find their person. They were specific in their prayers and intentional in their dating. They matched on a dating app called Hinge in January of 2025. Cody sent a rose and Connie accepted. Cody thought Connie was beautiful and loved the fact that she was a teacher and seemed kind and caring. Connie was intrigued by Cody’s profile because it immediately felt genuine, as well as, he was handsome, educated, and family oriented. Cody sent Connie a message and their conversation just flowed from there. Cody asked Connie out on a dinner date to Apolonia on a Tuesday after work. Cody was excited but nervous because Connie seemed “too good to be true”. Connie was late even after much effort to try to be on time, but when she arrived he wasn’t upset just patiently waiting and a perfect gentleman. He helped her with her coat and pulled out her chair and they talked the entire date. No awkward pauses or red flags. It felt easy, comfortable, and familiar. They both were relieved that they weren’t catfish’d and that each other were kind and respectful. They enjoyed every bit of the conversation that they didn’t want to leave. In fact, they were the last to leave the restaurant. Cody walked Connie to her car and called her later to ensure that she made it home safely. After many long talks, several more dates, lots of laughs, and complete comfortability, they knew they had found their person.
