How Does the Shuttle Work?How Does the Shuttle Work?

Answer

The first shuttle for Log Haven will depart the Grand American and the Doubletree at 4:45 PM followed by a second at 5:00 PM. One shuttle will make a run back to downtown and the hotels at 9:30 PM after dinner has ended and the dancing has begun. The last shuttle will leave the venue at 11:00 at the end of the evening and any guests not taking the shuttle back to downtown will be responsible for their own transportation back into the city. Cell service is very limited; however, Uber/Lyfts are accessible via Log Haven's Wifi, if needed.

Answer

Guests who are taking the shuttle from either the Grand American or the Doubletree will arrive at the venue at XXX. Guests who are driving separately should arrive at the venue by 5:30. We kindly ask that guests do not begin arriving before 4:45 as we will be putting the final touches on our setup!

Answer

Our dress code is formal/black tie optional. We ask that guests take this as an opportunity to celebrate with us and dress up! Full-length or cocktail dresses are ok, and suits and dinner jackets are a great option. We request that guests refrain from jeans or other items that may be more casual that fit our venue.

Answer

We will have a card drop at the venue for those who generously feel called to bring something. Any gift items from our registry should be sent to our new home in California so that they arrive safely and soundly! Our new address will be coming shortly and will be populated in our registry. At this time, we request that gifts not be sent until we are settled in our new home!

Answer

Our wonderful venue is extremely accommodating of any dietary preference or allergy. When filling out your meal choice, please indicate any preferences or allergies you or your guest may have, and we will let the venue know!

Answer

Our ceremony will be unplugged so we can all share in the moment of our unity together. This also allows our photographer to capture the moment without any devices in the way

Answer

Guests who may need a mobility aid or have trouble with stairs should know that the ramp to the ceremony space unfortunately does not go all the way to where chairs will be set up. There is a ramp into the building itself, and the reception area is accessible.

Answer

Due to the size of the venue and the nature of a plated dinner, we are limited to a certain guest capacity and ask that guests do not bring a plus one unless indicated on their invitation, and RSVP'd to attend.

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with your whole family! We are excited to share our love with everyone, both young and old. Children invited will be indicated on your invitation. We will have a 'quiet space' in the library area where kiddo's can play.

Answer

We are having an intimate private rehearsal dinner with our families and wedding parties! We are looking forward to spending more time with our other guests at our wedding and our after 'party' at the Snowbird Oktoberfest.

Is the wedding outdoors or indoors?Is the wedding outdoors or indoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will both be outdoors in the beautiful mountains. There are some inside areas to take a break in if you need to step away for a moment, and the bar area is inside. We will have heaters and blankets in the reception area if you get chilly! The average high for the end of September is in the 60's, but could lean warmer. Once the sun sets the low's are in the 40's, so if you are one to run chilly, we suggest bringing a shawl, jacket, or other outer layer.

Where should I park?Where should I park?

Answer

We strongly recommend guest take advantage of our shuttle that will pick up guests from the Grand America or the Doubletree downtown. If you do decide to drive, there is very limited parking at the venue on the road, or in a small lot across the street. Rideshare does go up to Log Haven, so if you do not want to take the shuttle, that is another option we recommend!

Answer

The mountains are incredibly beautiful, but also they unfortunately do not allow for great cell service. Cell phone reception is typically very spotty to unavailable at Log Haven. We ask that guests keep this in mind as they plan for things like transportation/ride shares.

Answer

Signature cocktails, and a selection of wine and beers will be hosted through the evening, or until we run out of our chosen selections. All other drinks you may like will be a cash bar, and card is accepted.

Answer

Yes! We will have our DJ playing music after dinner, and our reception area will be converted to allow for our dance floor. Seats and tables will still be available for those who are less inclined to boogie!

Are you changing last names?Are you changing last names?

At this time, we have decided not to change our last names. Could this change in the future? Who knows! But for now, we will be staying Hocutt and Weavil.

Answer

You can reach out to either Caleb or Cody with questions that may not be answered on our FAQ page. Once we get closer to our wedding date, we will designate a point-person to help out by answering any questions guests may have as we prepare for our big day.

Unfortunately, our beloved babies will not be at our wedding. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts, as we will, as we celebrate their dads' big day!
