FINALLY!!

Our story starts LONG before any of the cute couple stuff. We began as a bartender & a customer. In the place where "everyone knows your name", Denny K's Bar & Grill. Now if we were to write all of our stories we share together down it would be a NOVEL. But truly a customer relationship bloomed into a great friendship. We had our DK Crew and that was that. Through any nonsense or funny belly-laugh times, we always were there for each other. The jukebox was always plugged with great songs, I helping donate to the cause. That is when I caught his eye. As we all packed the jukebox every night to out-do each other on oldies and rock songs, we learned more and more about each other. I had no clue for the longest time he was interested until his 30th birthday when his sister yelled across the bar to me working, "When will you date my brother?!?" Now I was not the one to pursue I must say and I was stubborn about the whole thing. We had ups and downs with the subject. I was going to leave to MKE for Culinary School at one point and stopped it all. He was someone who respected my space more than a man should EVER put up with. School did not pan out and I continued running DK's. But one day he was there for me more than any person had ever been. And in my eyes I was taken away by his kindness and care for me. Slowly that summer we had softball games, volleyball games, and lots of Sunday Fundays at the old Real MacCoys. Fun turned into flirting into our friends hassling us into kisses into ME asking him if he was my boyfriend during the 4th of July Festival. Ever since, we have been by each other's side learning and growing in ways we both never realized could happen. With our first child here November of 2019 and then marriage ceremony June of 2020 during a pandemic, we would have never realized those so many years ago that just from him walking into a bar our lives would be changed FOREVER.
