It was a hot summer evening in Atlanta when Rachael and Chris first met for dinner and drinks. They bonded over their love of their schools, affinity for good beer, and desire to see the world. You might say they had a "hinged" connection right from the start. Chris’ knew she was special when she surprised him with a helicopter ride over Atlanta and dinner with friends at the best beer bar in Atlanta. In the summer of 2018, their relationship faced its biggest test yet when an opportunity came up for Chris in California. Chris knew Rachael was the one when she agreed to embark on this new adventure. Three months and three thousand miles later their lives had restarted. When the opportunity came up to travel to Japan Chris knew this was his chance. He obtained permission from her family, secured the ring, and found the perfect location. His heart was beating out his chest while they waited to have their picture taken at the famous shrine. When the time came, Chris took a knee and asked for her to be his travel partner for life. She said yes! Rachael loves Chris’ ability to constantly make her laugh, it is enough to tolerate his beer obsession. Chris loves Rachael’s kindhearted nature and ability to always see the glass half full. Those that know them well know that Rachael’s calm, easy-going demeanor perfectly balances Chris’ personality. We feel extremely lucky to have a strong network of friends and family who have supported us in our journey from Atlanta to San Francisco. We are anxiously awaiting the big day and look forward to ringing in this new chapter of our lives with all of you.
