To us, cocktail attire includes: - Midi to floor length skirts and dresses with heels or flats, - Semi-formal jumpsuits with heels or flats, or - Dress pants (slacks) with a collared long sleeve button down shirt and dress shoes. *Suit jackets and ties are strongly encouraged, but not a requirement.
Due to the nature of our split venue wedding ceremony and reception, we ask that you refrain from buying and bringing items to the wedding. Instead, please visit our wedding registry digitally available through Zola.com. See the link at the top of our wedding website for the registry. Purchases or cash gifts provided through this website will go directly to our house. If you decide to bring a physical card, that would be okay. However, please bring it with you to the reception, there will be no spot outdoors at the Myriad Gardens for cards.
If you would like to know what is most important to us, that would be the honeymoon and hotel suite cash funds. Even a small cash gift towards these two items are greatly appreciated. No help is too small!
There will appetizers served during cocktail hour with a formal dining experience (plated dinner) to follow. Alcoholic beverages will be served at an open bar until 9PM. If you have a dietary restriction, please be sure to make note of it on your RSVP.
*UPDATE as of 4/13/26* No, there will not be parking at the venue. VAST originally told me at one time that valet parking was included in our package and that guests would receive a code to park in the visitor's garage. That is no longer the case. If you are coming from out-of-town and staying at the Wyndam, Sheraton, or the Colcord. Please call your hotel and confirm they will let you park in their garage, early. Myriad Botanical Gardens is within walking distance of these hotels. If you are not staying in a hotel, we recommend that you park somewhere nearby. There are lots of paid parking lots around the Myriad Botanical Gardens. Some may be free on weekends. A map will be posted on this website under "Travel" and sent to your phone (if you provided when you submitted a RSVP). It is a scheduled text from me (Emily) through a service. The OKC Thunder game will be happening on Sunday, April 19th at 2:30PM. Please be aware of this when making plans for the morning after!
No. There is no formal ride service being offered. The bride and groom ask that all guests drink responsibly and make plans for transportation ahead of time (designated driver, Uber, Lyft, public transit, etc.) Alcoholic beverages will be cut off one hour before the end of the reception. The wedding ceremony and reception are conveniently located in downtown Oklahoma City. There are several surrounding hotels nearby that may be good options for guests looking to avoid driving. There are also convenient forms of public transportation available for those who are interested.
On the day of the wedding, please refrain from contacting immediate family members. Our wedding day coordinator, Julie Souders, will be able to assist you. Her contact information is (405)-474-7314. If you are unable to get ahold of her, she will be on-site at the wedding.
