We met, as many millennials do, on Bumble. We matched in February of 2017 and I was immediately intrigued by his bio mentioning PT school and studying abroad. After exchanging numbers, we chatted via text with plans to meet for dinner in the coming weeks. However, we both ended up at the same intersection at Mardi Gras. With some liquid courage and my sister, Danni hyping me up, I introduced myself. We spent the entire day together and once he started quoting Step Brothers, I knew I wanted to see him again.
It was my last day at work before making our move to Gainesville, Florida. Ryan planned a date night for his birthday, a trip to the Arch followed by dinner downtown. Once we parked, Ryan suggested walking around Kiener Plaza prior to going up to the Arch, a stall tactic since he's scared of heights. But as soon as we reached the fountain, Ryan was down on one knee and all I could say was, “Are you serious?!?” To which he replied, "So, is that a 'yes'?" To make the night even more special, Ryan hired a photographer to capture that moment, followed by a surprise engagement party with all our closest family and friends. We are so excited to share this next chapter with you! See you in STL!
