Question

What's the venue's address?

Answer

Loma Vista Gardens 47540 CA-1 Big Sur, CA 93920 For more information about the venue, please visit: LomaVistaGardens.com

Question

How do I get there?

Answer

Loma Vista Gardens is directly off of CA-1, located next to the infamous Big Sur Bakery. Either way, we recommend you fill up your tanks before heading into the National Forest to save money on gas. However, not to worry! There are gas stations within a 2-mile radius of the venue. ---- If you plan to drive south on CA-1, the venue will be on the right-hand side. If you've passed the Ventana Campground, you've gone too far south. If you plan to drive north on CA-1, the venue will be on the left-hand side. If you passed the Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park sign, you've gone too far north.

Question

Is parking available on-site?

Answer

Yes! Parking passes are available for only 40 vehicles (and we have 125 amazing guests), and two valets will organize the parking of guest cars. Parking Directions: Please park in the upper parking lot on the south side of the property, taking a hard right immediately after the Shell station (if coming from the North) Or, also from the North, you can enter the driveway and go past the Bakery, and through the gas station, and then right up the hill into the upper lot. The garden's main entrance is behind the giant rusted metal gates. Please consider carpooling! If you are planning to drive and have empty seats in your car, please contact us. We'd be happy to help coordinate. An FYI - it "looks" like there is gravel parking across the street from the venue. However, that area is not official parking. We were made aware that the park rangers may give you a ticket or tow your car should you choose to park in that area. Please follow the signs for the Valet.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving between 2:45 PM - 3:00 PM to ensure that the valets have enough time to park your cars.

Question

Is the venue indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Loma Vista Gardens is 100% outdoors.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Big Sur is a beautiful coastal town located on HWY 1. Although May is the end of Spring, we cannot guarantee hot summer weather along the unpredictable coastal line of California. It can get pretty cold at night! We’d recommend bringing a warm jacket and/or a scarf to make sure you are warm during evening activities. We’ll be watching the weather closely and keep everyone posted when we get closer to the wedding date.

Question

Is there dress code?

Answer

Black tie / festive - dress to impress! 💃

Question

What type of shoes should I wear?

Answer

Loma Vista Gardens is an outdoor venue with lots of stairs and different terrains. Ladies, we’d recommend against stiletto heels - but you do you boo!

Question

Are there reserved wedding colors?

Answer

Yes, the bridal party will be in a range from sage green to forest green - and, of course, the bride will be in all white!

Question

Can I wear white?

Answer

Nope, white is reserved for the bride. If in doubt - say nope 😎

Question

Can I bring a +1 or a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to budget and space limitations, we simply can't afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. Therefore, we kindly ask our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation.

Question

Are our kids allowed?

Answer

We adore all of your kids and would love to celebrate with everyone! However, we respectfully request that this special day be an adults-only wedding reception. Thank you for your understanding 🙏.

Question

Is it a dog-friendly venue?

Answer

Carmel is a beautiful scenic area that has many dog-friendly beaches and trails. We respectfully request that you please leave your fur babies at your hotel during the wedding festivities if you decide to bring them with you during your trip.

Question

Will food be served?

Answer

Yes! We don’t want anyone to go hungry.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Of course! Who do you think we are 😜 BUT party accordingly and drive home safe!

Question

What are the unbreakable rules?

Answer

Unbreakable rule #1: RSVP promptly Unbreakable rule #2: Drink responsibly Unbreakable rule #3: HAVE FUN

Question

What if I don’t RSVP on time?

Answer

Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate you. We will need to provide vendors an exact number by a set date. Reminders will be sent ❤️

For all the days along the way
