Can I bring my family or a +1 ?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to venue capacity restrictions, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on the invitation. Please note that additional guests are permitted only if your invitation includes a “+1” or is addressed to your entire family.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Hawthorne House - 6008 NW Bell Rd Parkville, MO 64152 Once on NW BELL RD turn onto the property where you will drive past a little white chapel (located on your left) and you will find the Hawthorne House with a huge front porch!

What time should I plan to arrive at the venue?

Answer

The gates to the venue will open at 5:00pm. We recommend arriving at the venue at least 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time (5:30pm) to ensure you have enough time to park and find a seat.

What is the wedding attire?

Answer

Attire: Formal Women: Midi or maxi dresses that pop—think bold patterns, statement colors, and playful textures. Men: Tuxes, Suits, Sport Coats, or Blazers. Ties and bow ties are welcome but totally optional—style it your way! (please no jeans) Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be taking place out in the front grass yard (keep your shoe selection in mind)

Is there onsite parking available? If so can I leave my car overnight if needed?

Answer

Yes, the Hawthorne House has an extensive parking lot across their property. If your night gets carried away and you need to leave your car overnight, please plan to pick it up by Saturday 9/12 no later than noon.

What parts of the wedding will be outside vs. inside?

Answer

With such beautiful weather we have decided to have both our ceremony and cocktail hour out on the front grass. We will move inside around 6:30pm for dinner, drinks, and dancing.

Can I bring my own alcohol to the venue?

Answer

Per venue rules no outside alcohol will be allowed. Rest assured there will be an open bar!

What is for dinner?

Answer

As big foodies ourselves... this will remain a surprise. All we can say is that you will not be disappointed.

What if I cannot make it to the ceremony but I can make it to the reception?

Answer

We totally understand life is busy. If you plan to attend the reception or ceremony only please reach out to Emma 913.333.9345 and let her know.
